Our practice brings together three highly qualified cardiologists who trained at world-renowned institutions including Oxford University, King's College London, and St Thomas' Hospital, London. Each doctor maintains active positions at Canberra's major hospitals, strengthening our connections within the local medical community.
We work across Canberra's healthcare network, performing procedures at Calvary Bruce Private Hospital and National Capital Private Hospital. For patients without private health insurance, our specialists hold admitting rights at Canberra Hospital, making cardiac care accessible to all members of our community.
Our practice reflects the international standard of cardiac care. We maintain strong partnerships with referring doctors across the ACT, participating in collaborative care to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. Through our hospital appointments and research activities, we stay at the forefront of cardiology advances and bring this expertise to our daily practice.
Core Cardiology began its journey in 2019 when Dr Peter Scott and his wife (and business partner) Kasia Scott established Scott Cardiology at Calvary Bruce Private Hospital. As the practice grew and patient numbers increased, we relocated to our current premises in Macquarie to accommodate the expanding needs of our community.
In 2023, we underwent a transformation, renaming our practice to Core Cardiology. That same year, we welcomed Dr Nikhil Pal to our team, followed by Dr Dominika Budzbon.
From our early days, we have built a comprehensive healthcare team including cardiac sonographers, specialist nurses, and administrative professionals. Each team member plays an integral role in delivering high-quality cardiac care.
